Prof Dr Uwe Krueger was appointed an executive director in June 2011, taking up the post of chief executive officer in August 2011. He is a physicist who studied at the University of Frankfurt, graduating with a PhD in complex system theory. He also studied at Columbia University (New York), the EcoleNormaleSupérieure (Paris) and at Harvard (Boston). He holds an Honorary Professorship in Physics from the University of Frankfurt am Main and an Honorary Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University awarded for his exemplary entrepreneurial leadership and contributions to the application of science, engineering and technology to business and industry across the globe.
Uwe has spent the majority of his career leading engineering and consulting organisations in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. He began his career at international strategy consulting firm, A. T. Kearney, followed by leadership positions at Hochtief AG, an international provider of construction services, including chief executive officer of central and eastern Europe, and senior vice president and chairman of Turner International based in Dallas, USA.
More recently he was chief executive officer of Swiss company, Oerlikon, one of the world’s leading high-tech industrial companies specialising in machine and plant engineering. He joined Atkins from Texas Pacific Group, a private equity investment firm based in London and San Francisco and Cleantech Switzerland, a trade promotion organisation in the area of sustainability which operates on behalf of the Swiss Federal Government. He is currently on the boards of Aggreko plc (Glasgow, UK), ONTEX S.A. (Zele, Belgium) and SUSI Partners AG (Zurich, Switzerland).

Christopher Miers is the founder and CEO of ProbynMiers, international construction consultants and a leading ‘think tank’ of Architects in Forensic Analysis and International Dispute Avoidance and Resolution with offices in London and Dubai. He is Chartered Architect, a Chartered Arbitrator, an Adjudicator, a Mediator and a leading international Expert Witness. Christopher is on FIDIC Presidents’ List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators and is a member of the contracts drafting committee for JCT contracts which has addressed BIM development across the construction industry. He advises on roles, risks and responsibilities for BIM projects and is a regular speaker on the impact of BIM on contractual arrangements including with FIDIC contracts. He is the past President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation - International Region and serves on various domestic and international Panels and as a DB Member. He is a leader for the ‘Committee of Dispute Resolution’ training for the Rio Janeiro 2016 Olympics & Paralympics. Christopher is regarded as a leading negotiator and advisor in worldwide construction conflict avoidance with appointments in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brazil, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, France, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and United Kingdom. Christopher is a Visiting Professor at Peking University, School of Transnational Law and a Visiting Lecturer in UK universities.

Geoff was President of FIDIC from 2011 to 2013 having been elected to its Executive Committee in 2005. He is also a Past Chairman of the ACE (Association for Consultancy and Engineering) in the UK. Geoff was the 149th President of the Institution of Civil Engineers for the year up to November 2014, having been a Vice President since 2008.
He was Chairman of Scott Wilson for eight years until its acquisition by URS in September 2010.
Geoff is a civil engineering graduate who joined Scott Wilson in 1968. Following the transition from partnership to limited company in 1995 he was appointed to Managing Director, initially of the business in the UK. He oversaw the growth of the Scott Wilson business both in the UK and the major international business centres around the world, ensuring the Group’s continuing position in the top ten UK engineering consultancies. He was appointed Group Chairman in 2002 and he oversaw the tripling of the firm’s revenue and the highly successful flotation in March 2006. In 2008 he became Non-Executive Chairman of the Group.
